Fire Alarm Renovation/Retrofit | Gainesville, FL

Project Details

The Gainesville Fire Alarm Renovation/Retrofit Project was an existing Simplex/Grinnell panel that was last tested in 2011. The existing antiquated fire alarm system was 22 years old and no longer supported by Simplex/Grinnel. We were instructed to replace the existing fire alarm with a new addressable EST system that would allow identification of specific alarmed devices and areas. This 90 day project included new Horn Strobes, Duct Detectors, Heat Detectors, Booster Panels, Master Control Panel, Remote Control Panel (for the 10,000 sq ft VMF building) and a Remote Annunciator Panel. The new system had be installed and approved by USPS personnel before demo could begin on the existing system.
